Teaching and Assessment Methods: STEM Teachers’ Perceptions and Implementation

This study explores Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) teachers’ perceptions of teaching assessment methods. We investigated 125 STEM subject coordinators teachers using interviews questionnaires. examined the most commonly implemented methods, reasons chose them. Then, we compared from different school levels, subjects, experience cultural backgrounds. The methods were lectures presentations, followed by class discussions collaborative classwork. method was tests with open- closed-ended questions, project portfolios experiment reports. Subject preferred that integrate formative more than teachers. contributes to a better understanding in schools gap between recommendations actual implementation. Conducted prior COVID-19 pandemic, this research sets baseline for similar future post-COVID research.
